I never signed as I should of some time back, but now is still a good time as any! I just wanted to tell you that I could never be happier with a persian kitty as I am with my Tuggles!   I'm interested in purchasing a female kitten. What is the youngest age that you let them go? How much do they cost? We've had a bad year with owning Chows. In October we took our 6 month old in to get fixed. When the vet administered anesthesia, Bodacious went into cardiac arrest. There was no bringing him back. We purchased another one a month later. We had him for 4 weeks and he was killed by a van. We rescued one in January and had him until July. The neighbor kids came over and Dusty gave the two year old a black and blue mark that swelled up a little. There was no blood drawn. The neighbor guy came over the next day and informed us there was not an insurance company out there that would insure a homeowner against a Chow biting a person and we stood to loose everything we owned. We took this as a threat and my husband decided we'd better find Dusty a new home. I was just heart sick. And still am. I tolerate the neighbor, but I'll never let his children in my home. I'm polite and everything to the kids, but we'll never have the relationship we had before. Anyway, I'm looking into getting a Persian cat. My husband wants a female kitten. There's really no hurry. I can wait for just the right one. The blue and cream one is so precious. We do go to Florida for a couple weeks in the spring. We have a female barn cat that we leave home and a different neighbor comes in and checks on her once a day. Would a Persian be ok to leave like that or would you suggest a kennel?
